In the history of Battle of the Best contests here on Springleap, never before have we seen so many great designs by so many talented designers and illustrators do battle for the top prize. With so much at stake in our Battle of The Best 2012 (with $5000 for the top design it’s our biggest prize, ever!) it comes as no surprise that the battle was fierce and it came down to the last minute. So, without much more delay and to keep you from exploding from suspense, we are very proud to announce that the winner of Springleap’s Battle Of The Best 2012 is none other than a designer who’s work has featured in many of our contests. He’s a guy with uncanny knack for creating designs that really capture the imagination, whilst having a great - and often funny - concept. Ladies and gents, please put your hands together for

GRANT SHEPLEY (aka CHUCKY aka Gamma-Ray)!

    With his amazing submission, ‘Forever Famous’, he delivered the kind of work that made other designers sit up and take notice and design fans vote like crazy. The characters in his design are recognisable by anyone, anywhere. This makes it the kind of image that many people will go wild for! Can you identify them all? There’s rock stars, geniuses, heroes, politicians and more. It’s one big well-designed cluster of dead famous icons! Well done to Grant (he’s called Gamma-Ray now, by the way) - awesome design from an amazing designer.
