I’m Ardan Kukuh Prayogo
Where do you live?
I live in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia
Describe yourself - likes/ dislikes.
I’m an illustrator who love everything about street art and pop art. I also love bananas, I don’t know why. Thing that I hate the most is waiting because it’s just wasting my time.
Which design tools do you use?
I use Manga Studio for sketching and Adobe Photoshop for coloring
How did you hear about them?
My friend’s recommendation.
What do / don’t you love about crowdsourcing contests?
I love it because I can push my creativity as an illustrator to create something in a competition.
Has it become a sustainable source of income?
Now, I don’t think that it is promising as a sustainable souce of income. Because the main reason for me, is not the income but how to measure our ability.
What inspires you?
My cheerful design is inspired by my family and friends.
Describe your design style?
I am really sure about my style, but my design is funny and cheerful yet sometimes gloomy behind it.
Where did you study design?
Learn from experience and a bunch of helpful friends.
Which are your favorite designers and styles?
Greg Abbot, Flying Mouse, Loveshugah, Superfex is really SICK !!!
What category of projects are your favorites? (e.g: packaging)
T-shirt design, children storybook, greeting cards, branding.
What has been your favorite brief so far?
Brief that gives clear instructions on what to expect or do.
Which design platforms do you use (eg: Threadless, 99designs etc)? Threadless, Springleap, Lafraise etc
How can the experience be improved?
By seeing many references and always drawing and drawing.:D
