Change is GOOD! - so get ready for good things. We’re about to make some great changes on the site - the header bar is one of them - soon a new header bar is on its way to you to make the site iPad, iPhone and mobile friendly. ….but we’re not stopping there. Recently we mentioned that if the winning design on a competition is not strong enough we would close a competition with no winner or let it go on longer. We’ve got a better idea… Instead we will close the competition with no winner… but the next themed competition will carry A DOUBLE SIZE CASH PRIZE. Yep - that means that the next competition would carry on to become a cash prize of R8000 - like US$1000. What do you think about that? YES, NO, LOVE, HATE? WE WANT TO KNOW! Although we run Springleap, we run it on YOUR behalf - that’s because the community is the power of this site. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved and… TELL US NOT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US, BUT WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU Do you think perhaps the blogs need to be better? THIS IS THE PLACE TO TELL US REMEMBER - WHATEVER IT IS….. WE’VE

We made some promises. We’re delivering. Over the past two years we have made a lot of changes on Springleap – some were rad, some mad… but we have always tried to do the best we could to make the site better. We’re stepping up our game. The power of Springleap is YOU. Yep. Our community. After all… what is Springleap without you guys and gals? There are quite a few changes that have been made already and many more to come. The site relook is in Phase1 and soon moving to Phase2 – one of the big change coming is the removal of the flash header bar… but more on that later. We launched the concept of THEMED DESIGN COMPETITIONS just over a year ago and whilst there have been some awesome designs from those competitions, the designers have made their desire to move back to open brief-competitions resoundingly clear. SO WE ARE TAKING THE POWER BACK… TO YOU. The Elements competition designs were too few and unfortunately none were strong enough to cut the Springleap design panel grade (keep at it! Kingslip has been on the site for ages and won 3 competitions this year!) Starting from today we are going back to open brief competitions – this means that you can submit anything you like. From designs that didn’t win elsewhere, to ones sitting in your folders gathering digital dust to creating jaw-dropping wonders.
We are taking the cash from the Elements competition and adding it to the Some Like it Hot bounty to kick-start this new era with a *R8000 (US$1000) Cash prize plus the usual R2 royalty payment on sales of reprint runs. * This is the start of great things – we are making huge changes and they are the ones you ask for. Have your say on what else you would like at this post. The competition details : Regular guidelines apply: NO OBSCENITY, NO HATE SPEECH …all that JAZZ. You can submit up to 5 designs so go wild! The more designs you submit the greater chances you have of winning! Dates to diarise: Submissions for designs open: 23 September 2021 You could be the next winner on Springleap.com and gain exposure for yourself! You also stand a chance of winning amazing prizes and loads of cash. The top 10 voted designs will get the golden stamp of approval and go in for review. The final verdict will come down to our esteemed design panel here at Springleap. _For those that don’t win, you still stand a chance to have your designs printed! _ We’ll be keeping all top 10 designs in our re-seller catalogue and who knows we could be printing and selling your designs nationwide! Everyone WINS!! In order to get started on your designs download the Springleap t-shirt Submission Kit and get started right away! *Good Luck and Happy Designing!

Hi there one and all. Some of you may have noticed that as of last week we at Springleap.com have changed our shipping charges on all of our t-shirts. You will remember that in the past that shipping within South Africa was free. However, after numerous incidents with the post office we have decided to stop using them altogether. We want to be completely transparent with this new move. In the end it will be better for not only you as a consumer, but also for our credibility as a company. Our aim is to get your t-shirts to you quickly and in one piece, which meant that we had to take steps to ensure that everything works like clockwork. Please be aware that we will still have the option for local Capetonians to come into the Springleap HQ and pick up their t-shirt and avoid the courier charge. There was a technical glitch during out makeover which removed the “Pick up from HQ” option. However, it will be up and running again within the next fortnight. Below you will find our regional breakdown and the prices for each area: CITY CENTRES AND IMMEDIATE SUBURBS – Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth SURROUNDING CAPE TOWN AREAS – Hout bay, Lundudno, Dieprivier, Noordhoek, Simonstown, OUTLYING CAPE TOWN AREAS – Atlantis, Hermanus, Malmesbury, Wellington, Worcester REST OF SOUTH AFRICA – East London, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gillets, Hillcrest, Hilton, Kimberly, Kloof, Krugersdorp, Lenasia, Limpopo, Mapumalanaga, Nelspruit, Northwest Province, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bat etc AMERICA’S – R250 for your first 2 t-shirts and R27 for each additional t-shirt (t to 21 working days) CANADA – R250 for your first 2 t-shirts and R27 for each additional t-shirt (t to 21 working days) REST OF THE WORLD – R220 for your first 2 t-shirts and R18 for each additional t-shirt (t to 21 working days) |

Cape Town – Springleap.com has undergone a complete transformation with the commitment and amazing skills of their design team, the company launched its new edgy and sleek website look in August 2010. Springleap.com is heading towards a more mature direction that will take the brand to the next level. Business Development Director of Springleap.com, Eran Eyal, says, “We spent a lot of time gathering input from our community and consulting with experts and our extraordinary new design team - headed by Dylan Jones - to come up with a multi-phased approach to the redesign of Springleap.com” The first phase is almost complete and offers a cleaner and more mature look, whilst creating the space to offer more exposure for designers and allow Springleap.com to explore new partnership possibilities. Their intention is to make the website more functional and have a greater emphasis on the designers themselves - one new feature is the ‘I’m on Springleap’ box on the homepage, which randomly displays the profile of a previous winner. This will give winning designers greater exposure, which will in essence improve their chances of being approached with new monetizing offers. Springleap.com now offers premium space on the website, which is currently taken by One Small Seed and Between10and5 with whom they have a growing media partnership. The final step in phase one is to overhaul the functionality of the website, in order to ensure smoother utilization for their designers and general community. The second phase will see the header bar being replaced with exciting dynamic content and the removal of Flash in order to make the site totally compatible with mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones. Springleap.com will also receive its own much anticipated search bar for greater usability and a smoother experience. Phase three will begin in the next few months and will revitalize even more sections. Springleap.com will also be announcing even more amazing new opportunities that have been in development for almost a year. Taking crowdsourcing to a new level, Springleap.com used the community’s feedback and support by incorporating it into the new look that launched. This concept illustrates the company’s commitment and interest of their community. If you have not seen the new Springleap.com website, please have a look at it and give your feedback. —————————————————————————————— About: Springleap.com was founded in February 2008 by Eran Eyal and Eric Edelstein. The company’s ethos is empowering designers and creating exposure for them through Springleap’s t-shirt design competitions that take place every two weeks. Graphic designers from all around the globe are given an opportunity to earn money and gain exposure by creating t-shirt designs based around an assigned theme as well as open themed competitions. Some of Springleap.com’s great achievements include coming second at the Innovation awards in California in 2008; and winning the 2009 South African e-commerce awards. Thus far, Springleap.com is the only online t-shirt retailer of its kind in South Africa. For more information, please contact: Eran Eyal OR Amy Abrahams |
