I like the pale refelection you have used here, however I almost feel like the opaque reflection should be at the bottom!
If you could try and integrate your negative space of the roots a bit better this would def look much much better.
Thicker roots perhaps?

Yep I agree with cath. If you removed the "escape the Box" text, or make it more subtle it would really improve the overall aesthetic.

Very nicely drawn! I just feel as if it needs a bit of a background element or something to really make the bird stand out. It seems to be floating a lil too much out there in a sea of brown.
